- 1. What is a subscription license?
A subscription license enables usage of IntuiFace Composer and Player over a specific period of time.
Think of it as a rental model for Composer and Player. Two time periods are available, monthly (a calendar month) and yearly (a calendar year).
At the conclusion of the purchased time period, Composer and/or Player cease to operate unless an additional payment has been collected.
Subscription licenses cannot be transferred between PCs. Only perpetual licenses can be transferred.
NOTE: Composer and Player are purchased separately and their clock – the time during which licenses are operational – begins at the moment of purchase.
- 2. How does subscription renewal work?
Subscription customers are automatically rebilled – via credit card - at the end of each purchased time period.
Automated subscription renewal can be stopped at any time using the My Purchases section
of our online Account Management website.
When auto-renewal is stopped, customers will not be charged for the next period and will continue to be able to use Composer and/or Player until the end of the current period.
Early termination is not subject to any refund for the current period.
Each subscription and subscription renewal – once payment has been collected - requires Internet-mediated activation (phone activation is not available)
no more than five days after the beginning of a new period
After that five day period, in the absence of Internet-mediated activation, subscriptions will cease to work.
To reactivate these licenses, you must establish an Internet connection on each hosting PC.
If you plan to use Subscription-based licenses in an environment without Internet access, make sure those licenses will not expire while offline.
Alternatively, consider the use of Perpetual licenses as they never expire.
- 3. What is a perpetual license?
A perpetual license grants time unlimited use, meaning IntuiFace Composer and Player can never be disabled.
There is no time limit for ownership. In addition, there is no limit to the number of times perpetual licenses can be transferred between PCs.
NOTE: Composer and Player are bundled together. Additional Players can be purchased separately.
- 4. What is the difference between Composer and Player?
IntuiFace Composer enables you to design interactive experiences on any Windows 7 or Windows 8 PC.
Your interactive experiences are run by IntuiFace Players on any Windows 7 or Windows 8 PC.
Note: Composer includes an embedded Player – at no extra charge - so you can test your applications before deployment.
- 5. Is it possible to remove the splash screen from Player?
Yes. We now offer a white label version of our Player that permits you to either eliminate the splash screen entirely or substitute in your own splash screen image.
This means that if you start Player by double-clicking on a presentation file, your presentation will boot up without first displaying information about IntuiLab.
This white label version of Player is only available with a perpetual license, meaning you must also purchase a perpetual-licensed Composer.
